from the very beginning!

Who are we?

A dedicated team who, in 2015—when raw feeding and BARF were still virtually unknown concepts in Hungary—were looking for a solution to their own puppy's digestive problems, and found it!

This was BARF – raw feeding. At first, I prepared the meals at home and posted photos of them on Instagram, which were met with comments like, "Well, I don't eat that either!" But since it was very tedious to "struggle" with the preparation every day and to obtain a variety of ingredients, I sighed: it would be great if someone would deliver it to my door, ready to eat, like lunch is delivered to people every day...

That's how the idea for BARF Hungary started, and it has continued ever since. We provide our customers with high-quality, ready-to-cook, quick-frozen, complete raw meals that only need to be opened, defrosted, and served to your pet.

Products

We first tried it out on friends – and it worked!

We put together our very first trial menu using rudimentary methods (it took us a whole day to prepare about 30 packages) and gave it to some friends with dogs as a gift so they could try it out.

And just like with our own dog—to our great surprise—the long-standing stool problems were resolved within a few days, and we received very good feedback from everyone.

This gave us the strength and determination to work with the authorities in 2015 to set up Hungary’s first licensed factory producing complete raw food menus.

Our first products were based on a holistic approach and consisted of our “Whole Bone” product line, which we then expanded with “Boneless” solutions and special meat types.

2025: the year of complete renewal.

Ten years is a long time. We received a lot of feedback from our customers, developed many products (and we will continue to do so, you’ll be surprised), and with the help of our customers, we survived COVID, as it was the pre-orders from our satisfied and trusting customers that enabled us to survive. As always in life, there were tough times, but our determination never wavered because we knew that what we were doing and how we were doing it was best for dogs and truly healthy. And in 2025, on the 10th anniversary of our operation (excluding products), we will be renewing everything. We have moved to a new, fully licensed facility, we have many new product ideas in mind, and our goal is to make BARF Hungary products available everywhere.

So how can you get healthy and complete dog food in just a few minutes from now on?

By trusting our recipes, which are based on science and 10 years of experience and approved by veterinarians. Complete menus that are ready to eat, just defrost and serve to your dog. Then, either reorder at your own pace with the click of a button, or take advantage of our subscription solution to receive your order automatically at a discount at specified intervals. We will send it (or you can pick it up in person) when you request it, and payment is automatic. You don’t have to do anything, no need to keep an eye on the freezer, your tried and tested orders will arrive on time – so your pet won’t be left without food!
