How do I switch from dry food to BARF menus?
For healthy dogs, we usually recommend a quick transition.
After dry food, you can start the day with a BARF menu the very next day, or you can let your dog fast for an evening or even a whole day, and then start feeding them raw food.
How much should I feed my dog from the BARF menus each day?
How much should I feed my dog from the BARF menus each day?
As a rule of thumb, we recommend the following:
– 4-6% of body weight for dogs under 1 year old
– 2-3% of body weight for dogs over 1 year old per day.
We recommend dividing the daily amount into two meals.
Especially before the age of 1, the amount of stool helps to determine the correct amount (more than 2 stools per day is usually a sign of too much food).
The amount of food may depend on the puppy’s activity, age, metabolism, and season.
